A number of years ago, I came across this quote from Robert Louis Stevenson:

“The world is so full of a number of things, I’m sure we should all be happy as kings.”

Many of the children HAP helps have histories and experiences that at times make this poet’s vision seem unimaginable.

HAP is about impacting the lives of children in ways that make a positive difference. Our commitment is to do whatever it takes to promote safety, love, learning and healing.

Our history and experience since our founding in 1974 tell us that supportive relationships and effective teaching open up meaningful futures for the children in our care.
